Clear rules for a public experiment
These documents explain the free request, personal review, separate payment and publication process for Pixels for Bricks advertising placements.
A successful request creates a temporary position reservation, but it is not yet a purchase or final order. No payment takes place on this website. Mandatory consumer rights always remain available.

Terms and Conditions
Open document
1. Scope and contact
These Terms govern requests and confirmed paid online advertising placements on Pixels for Bricks. The project is operated from the Netherlands. Questions and complaints can be sent to hello@pixelsforbricks.com.
Nothing in these documents excludes or restricts rights, remedies, obligations or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
2. What the service is
A confirmed placement is a defined block on The Wall with an approved image, public title, description, destination link and directory information. It is an online advertising service, not a donation, investment, share, cryptocurrency, NFT, physical brick or ownership of part of the website.
3. Request, review and contract formation
- You choose a package and may suggest a currently available position.
- You submit accurate contact and proposed public placement information. The request is free and non-binding.
- The administrator reviews the request, content and current availability and may accept, reject or ask for clarification.
- A successfully submitted order request temporarily reserves the selected available position while it is reviewed.
- If paid orders are open, the package, coordinates, complete amount, payment method and applicable terms are provided separately before payment.
- No payment is processed by the Pixels for Bricks website. Payment credentials are never collected by the request form.
- A placement becomes final only after payment has actually been received and written confirmation identifies the accepted service and position.
4. Position selection
5. Prices and payment
The public package prices are one-time placement prices. Submitting a request is free. Before payment, the separate message must state the selected package, coordinates and complete amount. No specific payment method is promised until it is stated in that message. Prices for future requests may change, but an amount already confirmed in writing will not be changed without agreement.
6. Content, licence and moderation
You must own or have permission to use every submitted image, name, description and destination link. You grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to host, technically resize or compress, display and link the approved content only as needed to provide, secure and reasonably promote the placement. Ownership remains with you or the relevant rightsholder.
Illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, hateful, threatening, sexually abusive, infringing, malicious or unsafe content is not accepted. The operator may request corrections, reject content before publication, or proportionately restrict or remove a placement where reasonably necessary for law, rights, safety or technical integrity.
A sufficiently precise illegal-content or rights report can be sent to hello@pixelsforbricks.com. Identify the placement, explain the concern and provide only the evidence reasonably needed.
7. Publication period and project continuity
The paid publication period is 12 months from first publication. This is the maximum contractual publication commitment. After that period, a placement may remain online without extra charge while the experiment continues, but this is not promised and creates no permanent, lifetime or ownership right.
Maintenance, hosting incidents, security work and events outside reasonable control may interrupt the website. Reasonable steps will be taken to restore service. Death, lasting incapacity or another event outside the sole operator's reasonable control may make the experiment read-only or require closure if no suitable successor can continue it. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.
8. No performance guarantee
A placement does not guarantee clicks, impressions, traffic, SEO, search ranking, leads, sales, revenue, publicity, project success or a house purchase. The destination website remains under the control and responsibility of its owner.
9. Withdrawal, cancellation and refunds
A free request can be withdrawn before payment by contacting the project. Consumers may have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right after a distance contract is formed, subject to the applicable rules and lawful exceptions. Payment or image delivery does not by itself remove mandatory rights. See the Refunds & Placement Policy and the model withdrawal form.
10. Liability, complaints and law
Each party remains responsible for loss it causes under applicable law. To the extent lawfully permitted, the operator is not responsible for indirect loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made. Nothing excludes liability for intent, fraud, mandatory consumer rights, data-protection obligations, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Send a complaint to hello@pixelsforbricks.com with the request or order reference, facts and requested solution. Receipt of an email does not itself cancel an order or confirm a refund.
Dutch law applies without removing mandatory protection available to a consumer in their country of habitual residence. Mandatory jurisdiction rules remain unaffected.

Privacy Policy
Open document
1. Controller and scope
The controller is the person operating Pixels for Bricks from the Netherlands. Privacy requests can be sent to hello@pixelsforbricks.com. This Policy covers website visits, order requests, manual payment administration, content review, publication, support, complaints and security.
2. Information used
- name, email address, package, preferred coordinates and optional private message;
- proposed public title, description, alternative text, category and destination link;
- the final image supplied by reply to the first confirmation email and the safe derivative created for publication;
- request reference, review, reservation, payment-status and publication records;
- communications, complaints and rights reports;
- security data such as timestamps, IP address and technical logs;
- cookie choices and optional analytics data only when valid consent is given.
The website does not collect card numbers, security codes, banking passwords or payment-account login details.
3. Purposes, legal bases and retention
| Purpose | Main legal basis | Retention rule |
|---|---|---|
| Review and answer a request | Steps requested before a possible contract and legitimate interests in communication and system integrity | Unsuccessful or withdrawn requests normally up to 12 months after the last substantive contact |
| Administer a confirmed order | Contract and legal obligations | Order and accounting records normally 7 years after the relevant financial year |
| Review and publish a placement | Contract and legitimate interests in a lawful Wall | While published, then normally up to 12 months after removal unless a claim requires longer |
| Support, complaints and rights reports | Contract, legal obligation and legitimate interests in resolving disputes | Normally up to 2 years after closure, or longer while a claim is active |
| Protect the service | Legitimate interests and legal obligations | Operational logs normally up to 90 days, longer only for an identified incident, fraud or claim |
| Optional Google Analytics | Consent | Only while enabled with consent; configured retention and cookie periods apply |
4. Service providers
| Category | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting and database | MijnDomein | Website hosting, protected storage and technical logs |
| MijnDomein and configured mail infrastructure | Order, support and project communications | |
| Analytics | Google Analytics, only if enabled after consent | Website-use measurement |
No online payment provider is connected to the public order-request form. A payment method, if later offered separately, must be described before it is used and the privacy information must be updated when necessary.
5. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Identity may be verified proportionately. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority or another competent authority.
6. Security, international transfers and changes
Reasonable access limits, updates, backups and incident procedures are used, but no website is completely risk-free. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, a valid transfer mechanism and any required safeguards must be used. Material Policy changes are dated in the version history.

Cookie Policy
Open document
1. Necessary and optional technology
Cookies are small browser files. Similar technology includes local storage. Strictly necessary technology may be used for security, preferences and core website functions where law permits. Optional analytics or marketing technology must remain blocked until valid consent is given where required.
2. Consent choices
Reject must be as easy to find as Accept. Optional choices may not be pre-selected, refusal may not block unrelated core access, and consent must be as easy to withdraw as to give. Google Consent Mode can communicate a choice to Google tags but does not replace a lawful consent interface.
3. Google Analytics
| Name | Purpose | Typical maximum | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguish visitors for website statistics | Up to 2 years unless configured shorter | Required before setting |
_ga_<container-id> | Store session state for the configured property | Up to 2 years unless configured shorter | Required before setting |
These cookies are present only if Google Analytics is actually enabled after consent. Deleting browser cookies removes them from that browser but does not automatically erase information already retained by a provider.
4. Change or withdraw a choice
- Delete cookies in Google Chrome
- Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on
- Ask a cookie or privacy question
5. Deployed audit
The live inventory must be checked after changes to Website X5, hosting, Google, embeds or scripts. Technology that is not listed does not become approved merely because it appears after deployment.

Refunds & Placement Policy
Open document
1. Before payment
A submitted request is free and non-binding. It can be withdrawn by email before payment. It has no refund value because no payment has been made and no placement has been confirmed.
2. Included paid service
A confirmed order includes the agreed pixel package, reasonable technical processing and review, one 12-month paid publication period and the related directory entry. It excludes guaranteed advertising results, permanent hosting, ownership of a position and publication on third-party services.
3. Image and link requirements
| Accepted image types | Static PNG, JPEG or WebP |
|---|---|
| Maximum source size | 5 MB |
| Processing | A safe square derivative is created without stretching; padding may be added |
| Animation and scripts | Not accepted |
| Destination URL | Must use HTTPS and remain safe, accurate and lawful |
| Alternative text | A short accurate description; it may be edited for accessibility without changing meaning |
The first confirmation email asks the requester to reply with the final image and order reference. The image is uploaded to the protected system by the administrator, not by the public request form.
4. Review and correction
The file, link, description and position are reviewed. Where practical, a correctable issue is explained and a reasonable opportunity to supply compliant content is given. Serious illegality, fraud, malware or clear rights abuse may justify immediate rejection or removal.
5. Consumer withdrawal and online function
A consumer generally has 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, subject to the applicable rules and lawful exceptions. A clear statement can be sent to hello@pixelsforbricks.com or made with the model withdrawal form. The form is not the only valid method.
If a consumer expressly asks for service to begin during that period, any proportional charge or loss of a withdrawal right applies only when every legal condition is satisfied. Payment, a selected coordinate or an image does not by itself remove the right.
6. Refund outcomes
| Situation | Normal response |
|---|---|
| Duplicate payment or payment without a confirmed order | Full refund after verification |
| Position unavailable and no suitable alternative is accepted | Cancellation and full refund |
| Correctable content issue | Correction opportunity before a final decision |
| Content rejected before publication for a reason not caused by misconduct | Normally full refund, subject to mandatory law and any lawful agreed work |
| Valid consumer withdrawal | Refund required by law, possibly reduced only by a lawful proportional amount for expressly requested work |
| Project closure during the paid period for a reason within the operator's control | Pro-rata refund for the unused paid period |
| Unavoidable closure outside reasonable control | Assessed under mandatory rights and the circumstances; no blanket exclusion applies |
7. Requesting cancellation or a refund
Email hello@pixelsforbricks.com with the request or order reference, reason and requested outcome. Do not send card or banking credentials. Receipt of the email is not automatic approval, but mandatory deadlines and rights continue to apply.
